Shigeki Matsuyama

松山しげきは1973年生まれ、神奈川県在住。98年よりイラストレーターとして広告やプロダクトのイラスト制作を手がける。2011年以降はよりコンセプチュアルな作品制作を行うためにアーティストへ転身。現在は国内外のギャラリーにて、タブローやインスタレーション作品を中心に発表している。

主な個展に、「Portrait of Dazzle」（GR gallery、ニューヨーク、2022）「Portraits II」（GALERIE OVO、台北、2022）「アイジェンは世界を二次元で見る」（MA2ギャラリー、東京、2021）「Portraits」（ロイドワークスギャラリー、東京、2021）、グループ展に、「Fifty Shades of Grey」（Maison Ozmen、パリ、2022）、「Duality」（Urban Spree、ベルリン、2021）など。


Shigeki Matsuyama, born in 1973, is based in Kanagawa, Japan. Since 1998, he has worked as an illustrator, creating illustrations for advertising and products. In 2011, he shifted his focus to becoming an artist in order to pursue more conceptual works. He is currently presenting paintings and installation pieces at galleries both in Japan and abroad.

His major solo exhibitions include Portrait of Dazzle (GR gallery, New York, 2022), Portraits II (GALERIE OVO, Taipei, 2022), Aigen Sees the World in Two Dimensions (MA2 Gallery, Tokyo, 2021), and Portraits (Lloyd Works Gallery, Tokyo, 2021).
